PARENTS / GRANDPARENTS SUPER VISA
How is the PGP Super Visa different from a Visitor Visa?
A visitor visa allows you to stay in Canada up to 6 months. If you want to stay longer, you need to apply for an extension and pay a new fee.
The Parent and Grandparent Super Visa allows parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens or permanent resident to stay in Canada up to 2 years at a time

To be eligible for a Parent or Grandparent Super Visa, you must:

How long is the processing time and what are the application fees?
Processing times vary depending on the volume of applications and where you are submitting your application.
The application fee for a Super Visa is $100. Biometrics may be required.
What are the key considerations in submitting an application?
The requirements might look simple on paper, but often applications are rejected because the documents submitted were inaccurate, incomplete, or non-compliant. Here are some key considerations when applying for a parent or grandparent super visa for Canada:
- How do you ensure your sponsor meets the minimum income requirements?
- How do you prove that you intend to leave Canada at the end of your stay?
