Permanent Residence Application Fees to Increase on April 30, 2022
Application fees increase applies to economic, permit holder, family and humanitarian classes
April 5, 2022 – Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is increasing application fees for all permanent residence applications. New fees will start on April 30, 2022. Programs included in the application fee increase are economic, permit holder, family and humanitarian classes.
In 2020, IRCC increased permanent residence application fees to account for inflation for the first time since 2002. At that time, it was announced that application fees would increase every 2 years to adjust for inflation.
Below are the differences between the current application fees and new application fees effective April 30, 2022:
