  • OUR STORY

can be your story too. Take the leap of faith and land in Canada!

OUR FOUNDER – JODIE SOONTIT, RCIC

Jodie Soontit is a regulated Canadian immigration consultant. She is licensed to represent and serve clients in the full range of immigration and visa services under IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

Jodie is best known for consistently finding ways and tailoring approaches to get results. An experienced project manager, she values each client’s time and budget, and has set standard procedures within the company to make sure all cases are worked on efficiently and expeditiously.

Being an immigrant herself, she understands the struggles immigrants face in starting their lives and careers in Canada. She has therefore leveraged on her own Canadian experience and extensive professional network to further help our clients beyond the visa. We now include settlement, support, and job search assistance for a full 360 degrees service package.

MY STORY, OUR PASSION

Jodie-Soontit-citizenship-immigration

This is my own immigration experience, but this is really God’s story…

I arrived in Canada entirely on my own, but confident that God led me here. On my second month of hunting for a professional job, well-meaning people started giving well-meaning advice: “No one will hire an immigrant without Canadian experience. You must start at the bottom. Volunteer for free or work in retail.”

I wavered. Should I? But a small voice argued, “Do they know what God is capable of?”  I chose to trust God.

Midway through my fourth month, things started to happen. I received 2 job offers, but both were a few thousand shy of my target initial pay. A career coach said, “Take it. It’s wonderful that you even found a job!” But again I remembered God. Choosing to trust in him, I negotiated with one of the companies. A few days later, I got my target pay.

I started working and God blessed me with a wonderfully supportive team. My next step was to start managing my career. I paid attention and started improving the programs I managed. I was soon acknowledged as a top performer.

I became proud of what I had accomplished, forgetting that I was able to do what I did by God’s grace and the skills he gifted me with. So he started reminding me. For every accomplishment where I felt pride, he made me commit a mistake. This went on until I learned my lesson – if I must boast, then I should boast in the Lord.

Walking with God and choosing to listen to his leading over the louder voices of my peers, I moved forward in my career at a healthy pace. I moved up twice over a 3-year period and my salary increased every year.

Time came when I wanted to be my own boss. While studying how to start up an outsourcing company, strangers started reaching out to me on Facebook asking how I was able to immigrate to Canada and sharing their horror stories on how they lost their money to fraudulent immigration agencies. I was inspired to look into the immigration consulting industry and felt a burden to venture into it.

Deciding to study immigration consulting and pursue my professional license, I prayed to God to provide for my tuition fees. Soon after, I received a job offer from another company. My current employer offered me a retention bonus if I stayed. The bonus was exactly the amount I needed for my tuition.

I am now a licensed immigration consultant in Canada, working with global clients in realizing their immigration plans. I firmly believe God led me down this path. Today, I have a career where I can genuinely help people to immigrate and succeed in Canada. It is a career that allows me to inspire others with God’s goodness and how he truly has blessings only waiting to be claimed. My life has new meaning, new purpose, and a glorious new direction.

This company is dedicated to him. SPIVAS stands for Straight Path Immigration, Visa, and Settlement Services, and was inspired by Psalms 3:5-6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

I hope this inspires you as you seek your own bright path to Canada. It is easy to love this welcoming and beautiful country that values diversity while nurturing unity for one national identity. Your best and brightest future awaits.
